| Surface Preparation |
Pour concrete and screed, float or trowel level. For increased texture, sprinkle extra aggregate onto surface and work in with trowel or roller, making sure the aggregates are flush with the surface and surrounded by cement paste.

| Application |
After troweling, wait until large puddles of water disappear from surface. Apply Super Tard-S uniformly, without puddling, using an ordinary low pressure garden sprayer. Cover the Super Tard-S with plastic sheeting (preferably black) or continuously wetted burlap, until the retarded paste is to be removed. Allow to set until base concrete is hard (12 to 24 hours).
TO EXPOSE AGGREGATES: It is advisable to test a small area before proceeding. Under normal conditions, after concrete has set overnight, direct a jet of water from garden hose over the surface of the slab while scrubbing with a floor brush to remove the retarded concrete paste. High pressure water blasting is more efficient and should be used when equipment is available. The concrete not in contact with Super Tard-S will set firmly to resist erosion, and the embedded exposed aggregates will hold securely when the concrete has fully cured. If depth is excessive, wait for a few hours before washing and brushing. To brighten color, prevent staining and waterproof surface. |
