Adds extra bonding qualities when application is to be made over dense concrete or masonry. Use with plaster mix and pointing mortars to improve adhesion and curing; with cement plaster to increase bonding and reduce cracking; and as an admixture to portland cement-base mixes and topping for patching or resurfacing concrete floors, sidewalks, driveways or ramps. |

| Coverage |
For Concrete Patching: Use straight Acryl 60 with proper concrete mix for tough bonding problems--3.7L (1 gal.) Acryl 60 to either 20.4 kg (45 lb.) bag 1-3 cement sand mix or 36.2 kg (80lb.) bag gravel mix. First apply a slurry coat of straight Acryl60 and cement-sand mix in a brush coat consistency. Then mix straight Acryl 60 and cement-sand mix to mortar consistency and fill patch.
For Large Overlays: Mix 2 parts Acryl 60 to 1 part clean water |
| Surface Preparation |
Prepare a good clean surface for a tough bond. Remove all loose material, oil, grease, dust, efflorescence, laitance. Sweep or blow out with air. Dampen area but do not leave standing water. When preparing concrete mix, make sure sand is clean and dry |
| Application |
Brush on a slurry coat of straight Acryl 60 and cement-sand mix to eliminate air pockets, then quickly place mix into areas to be repaired. Maximum time recommended for placement, not to exceed 20 minutes. Trowel mix into place using light pressure - do not overtrowel. The trowel should be cleaned frequently and very little pressure should be used. If necessary, light re-troweling may be done approximately 15 minutes after initial placing by retempering surface sparingly.
DRYING TIME: When drying is rapid due to high temperature or breeze, cover surface with wet burlap. In 24 to 48 hours, areas will be ready for normal use. A 4-day curing period is required for heavy traffic areas. |
| Limitations |
Do not use with air entrained cement. Do not use Acryl 60 where circulation of air is limited. Do not fill cisterns, tanks, etc. with water for at least 7-8 days when coated with Thoroseal mixed with Acryl 60. For pools, allow at least 72 hours and preferable 96 hours for surface to dry prior to adding water. Mixes should not be applied at temperatures below 45 degrees F or to frost-filled surfaces. |
